This is Tom, one of James' boys. My dad had a Ph.D. in History, and taught at School of the Ozarks, then became the college Dean. My mom, Janet is still a teacher, though retired and teaching as a substitute teacher now. My brothers are John and Mike, though Mike was born in 1980, possibly after you met my father. Since Branson, MO, we moved to Northwestern Iowa, in Storm Lake Iowa where dad was the Dean of Buena Vista College. Then I finished college, got married and moved out while the rest of the family moved to Chicago. He and mom are working part time for a center that organizes educational forums and conferences. Both mom and dad were originally from Nebraska. Grandpa Zabel (Orville) was a History professor at Creighton. Mom's maiden name was Flynn and I don't know how many generations you have to go back to find someone from Ireland on her side of the family. My Grandma (Irene) Zabel's maiden name was Matzky, so that's where that comes in. I'm a bit bad with my genealogy, but good with the immediate family. My dad has two brothers, Robert - who lives in Manhattan KS but is moving this year to Minneapolis, and William - who lives in Lincoln NE.
