Gustav and his brother, Emil were born in Thorn, Germany which is now Torun, Poland. They had a sister, Emilia & a brother, Fryderyck. They left Breman and arrived in Baltimore, MD, USA on 2 Jul 1891, having traveled on the ship, Muechen. They arrived in Detroit, MI, USA where they both became butchers. Gustav died in 1911 and Emil died in 1937, both in Detroit.
