Please reply with any information you may have about Perlonia Ann T Yancey, b.1841 in Granville, NC d.1937. I have reason to believe she may be my g.g.grandmother. Still searching.
Here is what I have so far:
She is listed on the 1850 census as Perlona Yancey (age 10) of Mecklenburg, VA possible daughter of Richard H. Yancey.
Then according to LDS
She married William G W Wilkinson in 1860 (aka William Wilkason b. 1835)
She married William Gordon in 1866 (b. 1830)
1880 Census Perlonia is referred to as "Lonie A. Wilkinson" found living with William Gordon with many children.
1880 Census Perlonia's parents were living in VA- Richard Yancey (b.1809) and Harriet P Yancey (b. 1813) and have a grandson living with them age 17 named William P. Wilkerson (William G W Wilkinson and Perlonia's son?)
Also according to LDS Perlonia Ann T Yancey's father is Richard E. Yancey, mother Harriet Pendleton Yancey (second cousins). Harriet Yancey's father is Robert L. Yancey (b. 1775), her mother is Agnes Wilkinson (b. 1769) and so on.
