Hi there, I am tracing the tree of the Yale and Gale family from shropshire. My uncle Peter Gale was born in 1935. He has a brother Charles, and 2 sisters Mary and Kitty. Peters father was Joseph James gale. Also from horton shropshire. Joseph had a bother John and two sisters, Mary and annie. Josephs father was a John or Jack gale.
Now heres the story.!!! Jack/john Gale/Yale had two wives! He had children with both! The Horton ones had the surname Gale and the other family (somewhere in shropshire) were given the surname Yale so he didnt get found out !! Jack/John gale/yale worked on the canal and apparently he had a woman each end!
