We are researching our line of Stevens/Stephens and Baker families which leads me to post this.......
There is a Daniel Yake who married Eleanor Caroline Hall Feb 4, 1843 in Canada.
Eleanor Caroline Hall was the d/o of David Alfred Hall and he was born in town now known as Penfield, NY May 24, 1797 and he died March 15, 1879 in Ontario Canada (Note: Daniel Yake married a second time to Abigail Hilborn on April 12, 1847 and she died in Uxbridge Ontario Canada May 2, 1905) Daniel's first wife was Abigail Baker born l792 probably in Cambridge, Washington Co, NY (she the d/o of Harrington Baker/Lydia Jeems). Harrington Baker was son of Elisha Baker and Sarah Harrington/Herrington of Rhode Island. Harrington Baker moved to Bennington, VT, into Cambridge, Washington Co, NY to Penfield, Monroe County, NY by l810....where he died in l835.
Daniel Yake and wife Eleanor Hall Yake died in Worth Twp, Sanilac County, Michigan. Eleanor died Nov 7, 1878 in Worth Twp.
Children of Daniel Yake and Eleanor "Ellen" Caroline (Hall) Yake were:
-Oliver Yake b.1843 Canada and died 28 Dec l930/Lexington, -Sanilac Co, MI.
-Henry Yake
-Adaline Yake
-Albert Edward Yake
-Caroline Yake
-Lyman Yake
You may wish to check into the areas of Sanilac County and St. Clair County and surrounding counties; Huron, Tuscola Counties for further Yake family information.
