As for "Black" Xanders, it is my understanding from an Xander genealogy published by Ralph Dearborn Xander that "Black" refers to dark hair and eyes. Some Xanders from Ochsenbach area were "Black". Others were "White", with blond hair and blue eyes..... My 90+ year old Xander uncle confirms this.
