Hi Paul
Thought I'd start doing my family tree and just browsing. You might be interested to know that my maiden name is Winmill and I was born in Barking, Essex. Lived until my 20's in Seven Kings. My dad was born in Goodmayes and his name was John. He had two brothers, Bob (Robert) and Frank. Bob died when he was 50 and lived in Essex, Southend on Sea, Hordon on the Hill and various other places. He had two sons, Robert (family name Tony) and Michael. My uncle, Frank is still alive and now living in Suffolk. My grandfather, also a Robert (very confusing) lived in the East End of London and then went to live in Essex. He had a sister, who I only ever knew as "Auntie" and she married a Mr Clarke. She had 2 daughters, Glad and Rene. Rene is still alive and living in Saunderstead, Surrey. I think originally the family came from Germany as I think my great grandfather's name was Wilmutt (or something like that). All the first sons of the first son are always called Robert for some reason. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know how you get on.
