Hello,
I recently came across a family history in my collection of old books, which pertains to the Winmill family. It is primarily about the branch that came to America in 1879 and settled in the Virginia area.
This book is entitled: GONE AWAY WITH THE WINMILLS, by Virginia Winmill Livingstone Armstrong. Copyright 1977. Printed by Tomes of Leamington, Warwickshire, England.
According to this book, "Albert Winmill, born in 1852, had lived with his parents, his brothers and sisters on a small farm near Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, in England."
The subtitle of the book is: A biography of Robert Campbell Winmill and Viola Townsend Winmill of Warrenton, Virginia, covering the period from 1884 to 1975.
