Hello Dianne,

I'm happy to tell you what I know. Sgt. James A. Waddell is buried in plot E-08 on "Confederate Hill," Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore. Cemetery records indicate that he died 03/11/1890 at the age of 51. His stone has been judged to be barely readable. That is all we know so far.

I have no known connection to Sgt. Waddell. My interest in him is a result of a "restoration" project we are conducting centered on "Confederate Hill." If you would be interested in learning more about this project, please e-mail me at steves@toad.net. I will be happy to answer any of your questions and provide you with the URL for our project web page. It contains most of the information we have gathered about the veterans buried on Confederate Hill. We are always adding more as it is gathered and varified. The site also describes our goals and how to participate.

I would of course prefer to provide this information to you directly through this discussion group. Unfortunately, any direct reference to this project or the project URL seems to be viewed as SPAM by the administrators of Genealogy.com. All my earlier efforts to get the word out through this forum were deleted as a result. That is the reason for my caution.

Thanks,

Steve
