Thank you for posting a response to my query. I would like to know what your sources are for John George Wack being Frederick's father. I have from several people who claimed the same thing.

However, someone submitted to me a list of immigrants from Germany that arrived in Philadelphia on 16 October 1752 that includes a Wack family. The ship was the Ketty (Snow), captain was Theophilus Barnes. They sailed from Rotterdam by way of Portsmouth. The Wack family from the passenger list is Philipp Jacob Wack, age 47, Anna Eva Elisabeth (Jentzer), age 38, Johann Wilhelm, age 16, Anna Elisabeth, age 14, Anna Eva Elisabetha, age 13?, and Friedrich Wilhelm, age 8.

My Frederick is Frederick William (Revolutionary war pension papers), and he was born in 1744, making him 8 years old in 1752 when the Ketty arrived.

I don't know how to reconcile all this information.

What else do you know?

Jill
