Descendants of Jean Baptiste Vadenay (born about 1693) are also apparently descendants of at least one of the "King's Daughters" who came to Quebec for marriage, with a dowries provided by Louis XIV. The grandmothers of Marie Anne Marguerite Mousseau, wife of JBV, were Marie Richard (mother of her mother Marie Daunay) who is listed among the "King's Daughters", and Marguerite Sauviot (mother of Jacques Mousseau the younger). who came over even earlier. These lists are published in various places, including recent books by Peter J. Gagne. A bit like Mayflower descendants.
