Hi Charlie,

I believe Frances Lucy to be the daughter of JAmes w. ( no documented proof), but a Lucy F. in 1870 carthage p.o. smith co tn. census as a daughter to JAmes W. & MAry J. other siblings listed are: martha, harriet, marietta, & james w.

Lucy frances was born in tennessee. in 1880 census I found that possibly several of these children were living in delta texas with families othere than the VAdens. lucy lived with the pattersons... a "mattie" (martha)? lived with the BIttick family, and "Etta" (marietta)? lived with the Rattan famiy.

I visited your website and found that you had JOHN VADEN HUSBAND OF MARTHA UHLES ad dead in 1859?? I found them in 1860 in smith co tn. with ;emily, james (mine)? born 1837.. and paul, & robert. Is this the same John you have??

I have a marriage record packed of william scott roby & Frances Lucy .. we moved this past late summer...still haven't unpacked my genealogy records.

William "SCOTT" & frances Lucy vaden had 2 daughters, Lula, & darn her name escapes me.. senior moment....
