Well lets see these are my gr.gr. grandparents and I don't know the dates of birth or death but their son Glen (my gr. grandfather) was born in 1909 so the dates you gave aren't right for him but maybe a brother of Glen? All I really know is the my grandfather told me stories when I was young of how they were living in Erickdahl (sp?) near Stamford and that Vadie had Choctaw heritage and that James killed one of his sons for beating a horse. I was also told that the land for Ericksdahl was given to the people of the town by the Chittiden ranch. My grandfather worked for Mrs. Chittiden for many years. I also know that I have visited the gravesite of James and Zadie when I was younger to help clean the graves. They were located at an intersection of small county roads with a chain link fence around them. There were several other graves with different family names there as well and supposedly the cemetary was diagonal from the field that James shot his son in. Now I don't know if this helps in any way but this is drawn from memory of stories told 15- 20 years ago in one afternoon but was also talked about some over the years. I no longer have any way of gathering info from my grandfather so am trying to find out more info on this line of the family. I have heard from this forum that Zadie's father might be a John but am unshure.
