Roger, thanks for the information. I do believe this family is linked I just can't prove it. The family was not listed in the 1860 NY census, and Josephine was married by 1870 so she is not listed with any parents. I found out through her obituary dated 1921, that Josephine had a brother named Severe Vadeboncoeur, and three sisters who were "Anna" married to Nelson La Vaute, "Antonia" married to Louis Arseneau, and the third is listed only as Mrs. A. Clark. All lived in Syracuse. Do you know any of these people?
