Dear Irene,
I saw your post on genforum.
I have seen previous posts by you concerning Uber's. I, also live in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, MD outside of NW DC. From what I have seen I believe we are descended from the same family Simon & Magdalena Uber nee Twiney were my 4 x great grandparents as follows: The generations are numbered on the left and the + sign is married to the individual appearing above.
My direct line descendancy as I understand it is as follows:

2. Simon Uber 1768 Westmoreland Co, PA - 1798 Mercer Co, PA
+ Magdalena Twiney 1770 PA - 1857 Mercer Co, PA
3. Mary Uber
+ John McDonald
4. Daniel McDonald
+ Mary Stewart
5. Nancy Sloan McDonald 1842-1894 my great grandparents
+ Henry Jaquiss 1836 Liverpool, England -1874 Appanoose Co, IA
