NARA record group M233 Muster Rolls

Does anyone have access to scanned images of the muster roll microfilms? Or, have the ability to get a print from a film, then scan it in?

The transcription of one particular name is troubling me, and I really need to see it for myself.

The formal title is:

Registers of Enlistments in the United States Army, 1798 - 1914, M233, 81 rolls.

What I need to see is on roll #1 which covers surnames starting with the letters A and B.

The name I need is JOHN AMICK. The existing transcriptions give it as JOHN ARICK. I can see quite easily how old lower-case script for an 'm' could get a little squiggly and end up looking like an 'r' instead.

Of course, I could be wrong in my assumption that the transcription is wrong. But there's no other trace of this surname in the area from which the milita members were drawn, and John Amick was known to be living in the area and of age to have served.

If you need any additional information from me, just ask!

Thanks in advance,
-doug quebbeman
