In the Poughkeepsie (NY) Journal of 27 Sept 2006 there was an article about the Sally Tack Tavern, Stone Ridge, NY. which was once owned by Johannes and Sally TACK during the American Revolution. The TACKs had offered the Colonials use of the tavern for court meetings when the British attacked nearby Kingston, NY. The building dates from the early 1700s when it was built by Johannes TACK's father, Jacobus TACK.
