There certainly seems to be an overlap of names between us.

My Grandfather was called George Edward Tacey and his father was Williamson Tacey.So we have a George,a William and an Edward.Its quite possible that the children where named after uncles

By modern standards (KIngston upon)Hull and Grimsby are close.Only 45 miles away.Just a hundred years ago though it was even further by road,probably nearer 90.But both are on opposite sides of the River Humber and it could well be that ferrys where running between the two ports

Do you have any idea when your Edward Green was born?
