I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is William H Little (Littell). He enlisted 13 Aug 1862 at Prairie du Sac, Sauk Co. WI & was M.O. 4 July 1865.
He m. 8 Sep 1869 at Sauk Co. to Helen Tabor. I need her birth/death info. She is buried with William at Oakwood Cemetery, Washington Twp., Buchanan Co., IA. They had at least 1 child, Caroline who m. Leon C. Simmons.
William was the son of Hiram Littell & Jane Hathaway Smith (his 2nd wife). I need the birth, death data for Jane & burial for both Hiram & Jane. Also the name & data for Hiram's first wife & the names of any of her children & their birth dates.
I need the names of Helen's parents & their data, also the names & birthdates of their other children.
I need places of residence and pension info.
If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
