This may be an ancestor of mine. Wanted to connect now, will look up more data from dad's file for further conrrespondence. Meantime, what I know: my father John W. Taber Jr., my grandfather John Taber Sr., his father Isaiah Porter Taber; his father James Davis Taber. I BELIEVE but must try to confirm, my James Davis Taber was once widowed then married again, and second wife may have been Sarah. One of his daughters was Sarah Taber Pendleton, sister of my grt grnfather Isaiah Porter. She lived to be over 100, died somewhere in mid-1950's in Calif. James D. Taber said to have arrived in SanFrancisco area around the time of the Gold Rush.....from the midwest.
