Yes, Larry, I did and he responded. He thought Lydia Tabor was an unnamed daughter of Philip Taber and Mary Gibbs.

Philip Tabor and Mary Gibbs had a child Clark Tabor. About the time of Lydia's marriage to Job Simmons, Clark Tabor and several of his brother moved to New York. It was thought that Lydia named Clark Tabor Simmons for her brother.

However, on my trip to R.I., I went to Cranston City Hall and the record said there that the parents were Isaac and Caroline Simmons. I cannot find any record of such. I like the Dan theory better. But, must produce better documentation.

I have written to Dan again and await his reply.

Thanks for the follow-up. Would you have any theories on the Isaac and Caroline Simmons?

Clark Tabor Simmons named a son of his Job.

Til Later,

Arlene Clarke Haddock
