I am the 3g granddaughter of Eliza Jane Nichols m. John Harley in , , Trimble, KY. My source for the marriage is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, International Genealogical Index (R), (Copyright (c) 1980, 1997, data as of February 1997).
Eliza Jane and Nancy T. Nichols are both living with John Harley in the 1860 census of , ,Hancock, KY. And both Eliza Jane Nichols and Nancy T. Nichols have children by John Harley per county records. In all the census records, Eliza is born in approximately 1826.
I am trying to determine Eliza's parents. Several records indicate that an Eliza(beth) Jane Nichols was also married to Justus (Justice) Tabor (Taber) and also had a sister by the name of Nancy T. This Eliza(beth) and Nancy T. are typically listed as the daughters of Shadrack and Susanna (Bruner) Nichols. All of the birth dates of Nancy T. match (1833). However, the birth dates for Eliza(beth) vary from approximately 1816 to approximately 1826.
Does anyone have a source document for marriage of Eliza and Justice? the births of Eliza and/or Nancy to Shadrack & Susanna?
Really do appreciate the help in solving whether there are one or two Eliza(beth) Jane Nichols with a sister named Nancy T. and who are living in the same area.
