John TABOR b. abt. 1793 in PA??. Died before 1821 in GA?? he married Anne Dorcas STOVALL abt. 1809 maybe in NC or GA. They had two boys William H. b. 1810 in Elbert Co., GA and John H. b. 1813 prob. in Elbert Co., GA. John TABOR died before 1821 when his widow Dorcas TABOR drew for herself and orphans of John TABOR in the 1821 Land Lottery. I have found that the family was awarded land in Houston Co., GA but shortly after became a part of Bibb Co., GA. A newspaper article has come to my attention from another lister that says William H. and John H. his brother wrote to the Governor of GA in 1869 asking if they were able to still claim the land. Evidentially Dorcas had the land examined before she left for AL and found it worthless. They supposedly were givin the land but I could find no record in Houston or Bibb County, GA to corroborate the story. After the death of John TABOR, Dorcas and her son's migrated to Morgan Co., AL where she later married her cousin Patrick Henry STOVALL. She made a deed of gift to her son's of some personal items and slaves before she married. Her brother Peter STOVALL was William H. and John H. TABOR's guardian. William H. TABOR migrated to Hardeman Co., TN nad married Louisa T. HULLUM there in 1831. He lived in Marshall Co., MS in 1840 & 1850 then migrated to Tishamingo Co., MS in 1860 and then Lee Co., MS in 1870. He was living in Prentiss Co., MS in 1880. John H. TABOR married in Lawrence Co., AL to Nancy O. GIBSON in 1834. They also migrated to Marshall Co., MS by 1840. They were still living there in 1870.
