I have a photo of my g great gradnfather and would like to know what the colors mean.. There is a deep red band around the Collar and trim of the uniform, the whole uniform itself may be a light beige color, there is a Star Shaped Badge on the right side of his chest, and brass or gold colored buttons (5 of them) going down the front of the jacket..
