Can anybody tell me what the Caulfield Battalion was, or where it was from? Family tradition is that my g-g-grandfather Alanson (or Elenson) Huff fought in the Seminole War "under Capt. Smith in the Caulfield Battalion." Alanson lived, at various times, in KY, TN, AL and MS, and I suppose he enlisted with volunteers from one of those states. Has anybody heard of this unit?--Judy
