Annie, thanks for your response. It took a long time to finally find records on file on the Internet. Glad the posting hit a good note with you. Perhaps others will be able to find their long lost ancestor or relative in that posted data base. But, as you know, there were so many spellings of the surnames and that is what took be a bit longer to locate my ancestor. I will copy the letter from my ancestor and send you a copy as well as post it on the internet (if length doesn't limit it) for others to see what their ancestors did during the Seminole Indian Wars (especially the 2nd War in the mid-1830s).
