I would like to know what county(ies) in Alabama this Volunteer unit drafted their members from, please. It was Company L of Snodgrass' North Alabama Mounted Vol in the Florida War. Hiram Mitchell served as a private. He has been very hard to locate any informaiton on. Would you be able to tell me if this soldier or his spouse received a pension for his service. Any information that you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you!!
