Yes, it was Wimberly's, not Winterly's.

I was tracing the Spurlocks and have not tried to track the military units.

Solomon Spurlock was in Trigg Counbty, Ga ca 1830 and by 1850 in Barbour County, Alabama.

Spurlocks did have Allen connections in early Georgia (Wllkes, Oglethorpe) but, of couse, Allen is a common surname. Allen was a given name in many Spurlock families, Va, Ga, Ms.
