Does anyone have any information on Henry D. Rains of Co. A, 4th TX Infantry, C.S.A.? He is buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. He obviously died in the line of duty during the Civil War. There is no birth/death date listed. From what I can gather, the 4th Infantry was also known as the Hardeman Rifles of Gonzales. I was able to locate one possible Henry, and he was born at Ft. Brown, TX in 1846. However; I am not really sure if this is the same person. Can anyone confirm? I would sure appreciate hearing from anyone on this.
