THE BODY of JOHN RAINS FOUND -- The San Francisco papers of Saturday had a telegram from Los Angeles, stating that the body of the missing man, John RAINS, supposed to have been murdered a few days ago, was found on the evening of the 27th, buried under some brushwood, about 200 yards from the road. The appearance of the body would indicate that he was first lassoed and dragged from his buggy, and then shot in 5 different places. This occurred on the highway in the middle of the day, where travelers are passing hourly. The atrocity of this murder is unparalleled in this country.
