Sarah "Sallie" Virginia Raines was born about 1852 to Warren Thomas and Narcissa (Booker) Raines in Monroe Co., AL. She is listed as Virginia Raines age 8 living with her mother, Narcissa Raines, in the 1860 Burnt Corn P O, Monroe Co., AL Census. She is listed as Sarah A. age 17 living with her mother, Nicey E. Raines, in the 1870 Dennards Bluff P O, Monroe Co., AL Census. Sallie Raines married G. W. Weaver October 24, 1872, at the bride's home, witnessed by T. H. Raines. Marriage performed by George R. Scoggin in Monroe County, Alabama.
G. W. Weaver = George Washington Weaver was born about 1849 in Monroe Co., AL to Nancy (Patrick) and Algenion/Algen Sidney Weaver. He can be found living with his parents in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census in Monroe Co., AL.
I have searched all of Alabama 1880 and 1900 Census and cannot find George W. and Sarah/Sallie Virginia Weaver and family. I finally found Sarah V. Weaver age 57, widow, and 4 of her sons in the 1910 Census Jamestown, Conecuh Co., AL. Series T624, Roll 08, Page 141, it states that she had 8 children and only 4 are now living = George S. age 28, James M. 24, Byron age 18, and William age 22, all born in Alabama.
I do not believe they moved from Alabama after 1872 to 1910. I need help finding them. All information is appreciated. Thank you very much. Mary in Texas
