He married ELIZA TURNER November 20, 1838 in Tippecanoe Twp, Marshall Co IN, daughter of ADAM TURNER and SILENCE KERR. Notes for SILENCE RABER: After her parents death, Silence was raised by James and Millie Turner, an uncle - supported by Marshal Co., IN census records. In Mentone Centennial History Bessie Bybee described Jimmie Turner as a very kind-hearted person who would take anyone in who needed a home. A bounty was paid 21 Jun 1865 and an additional bounty of $100 was paid 22 May, 1868.
