Hi,

My GrGrGrandmother was born Louise Wilhelmina RAASCH in Letschin, Brandenberg, Germany on 30 July 1829 to parents, Martin RAASCH, b. 1773, m. 5 Dec 1823 to Sophia SATTLER, b. 12 Feb 1800 (in Letschin).

Wilhelmina (as Louise Wilhelmina was known by) m. Gustave (?) LEMKE prior to 1860. A widow before 1888, Wilhelmina followed her sons to American on the Polaria, which left Hamburg 13 June 1888. Traveling with her, on the same ticket, were Auguste GRUTZMACHER, age 22, Clara GRUTZMACHER, age 12 & Hedwig GRUTZMACHER (relationship, if any, unknown).
She lived in New Ulm, Brown Co., MN (near her younger son) and in 1905 followed her son to Fargo, Cass Co., ND, where she d. 19 Dec 1912.

Martin RAASCH's father was Georg RAASCH, b. bef 1755.

Most of this was researched from the Letschin Church Records (Luth.).
