I have a RABY ancestor (not sure of pronunciation or correct spelling):
Rebecca Jane RABY, b. c1820 in TN or KY; parents unknown; d. 1886 in Hood County, TX; mar. Franklin NASH, June 2, 1840, Panther Creek, Rutherford County, TN.
Franklin NASH, b. 1821 in TN, d. before 1880 in Hood County, TX; was son of Thomas Columbus NASH and Hannah WEST.
Children of Franklin NASH and Rebecca Jane RABY:
1. James Thomas NASH, b. 10/16/1842 TN, d. 1/22/1927 TX.
2. Payton Smith NASH, b. 1/21/1843 TN, d. 2/4/1923 TX.
3. Margaret Ann NASH, b. 10/5/1845 Rutherford Co., TN.
4. Epp Wiley NASH, b. 11/19/1848 Hickman, Fulton Co., KY.
5. Sarah Jane NASH, b. 12/25/1849 Hickman, Fulton Co., KY.
6. Columbus Franklin NASH*, b. 5/10/1852 Fulton Co., KY.
7. George David NASH, b. 4/23/1854 Hickman, Fulton Co., KY.
8. Mary Elizabeth NASH, b. 9/11/1856 Fulton Co., KY.
Columbus Franklin NASH (#6) was my ggg grandfather. In 1875, Hood County, TX, he married Mary Jane GREEN of Glenrose, Johnson County, TX. He died 4/22/1924 in Springtown, Parker County, TX and is buried at Springtown Cemetery.
All of these people migrated to TX - Hood, Johnson, Parker, Hardeman Counties. I some info on their marriages and deaths that I am willing to share.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything more about Rebecca J. RABY's family. If anyone can connect her to their RABY/RABEY line, please let me know.
