Quantrell in Berrien County, Michigan

I've been reading the messages posted on this forum regarding Charles Quantrell and his family. I'm the historian for a pioneer cemetery in LaPorte Co., Indiana. In this cemetery are burials for several children of Charles and Benjamin Quantrell, who I believe to be brothers. Much of the information contained in the posts on this forum corresponds with the information that I've gleaned from the cemetery and from LaPorte County census records, including the fact that they were born in England and resided in Ohio, where several of the children were born. These brothers are found in LaPorte Co., Indiana and Berrien Co., Michigan. I'll be happy to share what I have and would be very interested in any and all information regarding the families of Charles and Benjamin. Names that appear in my records for these families are: Benjamin, Carlos, Carrie Bell, Carrie E., Charles, Charles H., Cora, Ernest, Henry E., Jarrod K., Lewelling, and Mary.

I am also VERY interested in hearing stories about the possible connection between this family and Quantrill's Raiders.

Another observation: at least one of the previously posted messages alluded to a possible alternate name of Clarke. I've been puzzled by the fact that the 1850 census records Charles Quantrell's family with the last name "Clarkson".

I'm anxious to hear more about this interesting family!!! Thanks in advance for any and all help.
