Reposting my query with new email address. I have been trying to tie in the various QUAITE families to our branch of the family tree. Several lines found, most relate back to various JAMES QUAITE'S of Ireland. Sometimes within one family the "e" is missing. Have info on one branch that traveled to Australia, two to Canada. Missing many DOB's, and can't link some names to any limb!
Presently researching a CAPTAIN WM.QUAITE from the Whitehead area. Possible DOB 1888. Who were his parents?? Also ned info on a JAMES QUAITE, marrie an ELLEN possibly WEIR, Belfast, had a son named JAMES WEIR QUAITE, b.1872,Belfast .This is the Q. who went to Australia. Need to know parents of elder James. Another JAMES QUAITE married a SARA HILL, late 1800's in Belfast. Need to know who their parents were. Our particular branch descends from a DAVID QUAITE and ELLEN ? (1834-1904). Do not know parents of this David nor Ellen's surname. All from the Ballymena, Broughshane, Belfast, Whitehead areas of Co.Antrim, N.Ireland. Hope to exchange info. Pat Q.
