George Quackenbush (abt 1839-NY) son of Abram Quanckenbush and Catherine, married Mary Harriet Webb (1844-Erie County, NY) in the spring of 1861. I know that they had at least the following children. Ira (1863), Laura (1872), Catherine (1876), and George S. (1878). I am very interested in the decendants of George and Mary. I am related to Mary through her brother Calvin Webb.
George and his family are mentioned in the Pension papers of Nathan Webb (mary's father) and I would love to know if there are any family stories that have been handed down about the falling out they had, that caused Nathan to lose his civil war pension.
Any information is greatly appreciated.
