John Packwood m. Elizabeth Prewitt. They had the following children: Orlando (b. Dallas, TX), George, John, Mira m. Wil Oscar (and lived in Cahnadler, TX), William and Sarah Ellen.

John Packwood was the son of Samuel Packwood (Mar 5, 1808 in Patrick Co, VA - Dec 26, 1896 in Clark Co,IN.) and Phoebe Heaton (?-?)

Elizabeth Prewitt was the daughter of Robert Hurt Prewitt(son of Byrd Prewitt and Sarah Ellen Hurt) and Elizabeth Clark (Jan 1,1793 in Fayette Co.,KY - 1875)
