Much erroneous or misleading information about Samuel and Elizabeth Packard and their children has appeared in print and on the internet. In 1991 Karle S. Packard published an article in "Packard's Progress" in order to present what could be determined, from contemporary records and by inferences drawn from those records, about the first two American generations of the family. I have transcribed that important article and it is now available online:
