My ggggrandfather Martinus Paardekooper left from the port of Le Havre, France. He was 53 and his wife, Jozgerritje, was 37. They brought 6 children with them, my gggrandfather was 12 when they left. The names of all the children were: Gerrit, Willem, Matbg, Adrianna, Pietertje, and Antje. They left Le Havre on March 3, 1856. They arrived in New York and settled in Pella that same year. I do not know their town of origin. If someone has suggestions or informatation, please e-mail me.
