I've run into a brick wall researching my grandmother, Amy( ) O'Donnell/Dykes. She was married to a "O'Donnell in 1882 when my mother's half-brother, Charlie O'Donnell was born in Missouri. She was then married to a "Dykes" in 1889/1890 in Coffeeville, Ks.,when my mother's brother Artie Dykes was born. My mother Gertie Mae Dykes was born in Ar. in 1892.
I found these three children living with George Banks' family and listed as step-children in the 1900 census. I checked George Banks marriages and he married my grandmother (Amy Dykes) in 1896. George married again in 1898, so I am guessing my grandmother had passed away, although I can find no records.
Due to the problems with records of 1890 and not knowing my grandmother's maiden name, I would appreciate any information. Thanks, Harve
