Provided you have names, reasonably close b/m/d data, and/or data on siblings, you may find one or more ancestors. I found my g-g-grandparents knowing the name and birth date of one child born in Ireland, and their approximate marriage date. The IFHF charges 10 euros per record. Therefore, you want to narrow down the possible hits before you pay; otherwise, the cost goes up.
