A biography of John E. O'Connor is included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". Parents: James and Mary (O'Brien) O'Connor, both natives of Cork, Ireland. They first settled in Charleston, SC, then moved to Newton, NH. In 1887, John married Miss Ella Rosenbeaun, daughter of Herman and Mary (Maloney) Rosenbeaun, natives respectively of Germany and Ireland.
