Paul, all these names appear in the Irish records just where you would expect them to be. Timothy and Morgan are listed in the Tithe Applotment records, 1825, in Moyvane Townland. Cornelius shows up in the Griffiths Evaluation, 1859, at Kilbaha West, along with Mary O'Connell who I believe was his mother. In the Tithes, Michael O'Connell is the first to appear, 1825. and then by 1859 he is gone and Mary is listed in Griffiths as the head of the family. This leads me to believe that Michael and Mary were married and that Cornelius who also appears in Griffiths was her son. Cornelius also appears in the Land Valuation Records listing all Heads of the household through the years. It goes: Michael O'Connell 1825 (Tithes Applotment) 1. Mary O'Connell 1859 (Griffiths Evaluation, Land Valuation) 2. Cornelius O'Connell (Griffiths Evaluation, Land Valuation) 1. John O'Connell 1883 (Land Valuation) 1. James Normile 1884 (Land Valuation) 1. John O'Connell 1889 (Land Valuation) 2. Michael O'Connell 1888 (Land Valuation) 2. Cornelius O'Connell 1901 (Land Valuation) The last Cornelius is probally the one you mentioned and I believe you should concentrate on Kilbaha West and Moyvane Townlands. I wish I had the same opportunity as you do living in Ireland to really dig into the records. Good Luck. Sean. Notify Administrator about this message?
