Daniel James O'Callaghan was born about 1815 in Ireland. He served in the Royal Navy and then in the East India Company's service starting in 1842. His obituary states he was "Surgeon General". Two daughters that I know of were born in India in the 1840s and I am trying to connect him to my 2nd great grandmother, Mary Elizabeh O'Callaghan married to John Spread at Kensington, London in 1865. Marriage Cert says "born Cork" and father "Daniel O'Callaghan, MD".
