Your Mahala O'Barr was the daughter of Michael O'Barr, born ca. 1776 in North Carolina and believed to have died in Hart Co., GA between 1850-1860. He was enumerated on the 1850 census in the household of his son, William, in Franklin Co., GA. This section of Franklin County became part of Hart County when Hart was formed in 1853.
This Michael O'Barr was on the 1820 census in Abbeville Co., SC and on the 1830 census in Hall Co., GA. There seems to have been another Mahala O'Barr in the same area about the same time but she was older than your Mahala. Your Mahala and my gg-grandfather were siblings. Hope this helps.
