Hi Susan,

Thanks so much for responding.

My lines are actually through the Fraser's and the Hamilton's. My ggg grandfather is Samuel Carroll Fraser (b. 1789) who married Bethsheba Hamilton in 1809 in Pendleton, SC. Samuel and Bethsheba had seven sons. The first son was David Hamilton Fraser who married Mary Ann O'Barr. Samuel and Bethsheba's second son was my gg grandfather, Joseph Arthur Fraser.

I have very limited info on Daniel O'Barr and Mary Hammett but would love to find out more. I do have a lot of information on the Fraser's and the Hamilton's and would be glad to share any of that with you.

Leonard Simpson Hamilton, who married Elizabeth O'Barr, is the son of David W. Hamilton, who is the son of David Hamilton (b. 1750), who also happens to be Bethsheba's father.

Here are a couple of my unknowns:

1. David Hamilton Fraser died in 1863 in Gwinnett County,
GA. How did he die? One story is that he was
attacked and killed by union soldiers who were hunting
for food, but I have no proof of this.

2. Looking for info about the parents of Mary Ann O'Barr
and where did they live in TN? I haven't been able to
figure out how Mary Ann and David met. Also, why did
David Hamilton Fraser and Mary Ann marry in SC? I
know that his grandfather was getting on in years and
still lived in SC, but David lived in GA.

3. Where is Daniel O'Barr buried?

I will be happy to share any info I have.

Betty Spence
