I don't know if you have found a home for the Nagel genealogy yet, but I have an unknown male child of a Daniel and Anna Maria Nagel/Nail. They lived in an area of Maryland, just north of Westminster.

Daniel's father was Philip Daniel Nagel/Nail and some of his brothers were Jacob and Frederick. Jacob had a son named Peter. The name William doesn't show up untill later. The birth date for Daniel was between 1761 and 1764 and his son was born between 1784 and 1790.

The Otterbien reference is probably the "Old Otterbien" Lutheran church which was in a part of Baltimore County, MD which became part of Carroll County, MD in 1837. Again, this was just a few miles north of Westminster, MD.

If any of this fits with the information you have, please let me know. By the way, Nagel means nail in German.

Roger Nale
Descendant of Henry Nagel/Noogle/Naugle/Nail, brother of Daniel
