Gen. James Nagle, s/o Daniel and Mary (Rorig) Nagle, was born in Reading, April 5, 1822. His grandfather was Philip Nagle, a native of Reading, Berks Co, where he died in 1840 age 84. Srv in the Rev. as a drummer. His son, the father of James was born in 1803 moved to Schuylkill County
