Were you able to find out anything more on the origin of the MOYER family? I'm researching the BOHN family of Frederick Co, MD. There is certainly some connection with the MOYER family.
On the will of Johann Diel BOHN in 1764 in Frederick Co, MD; the witnesses were: Michael MOYER and Peter MOYER.
On the passenger list of the Marlborough in 1741 arriving at Philadelphia not only is Johann Diel BOHN listed, but also Frederich MEYER and Johannes MEYER.
My wife descends from the son of Johann Diel BOHN, Jacob BOON b.1749, MD. He moved to Franklin Co, VA and died there in 1814.
